1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Tomoni Labs, LLC collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use Bossy, including our website, mobile app, AI features, communications, and related services.

If you do not want your information handled as described here, do not use Bossy.

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Bossy and which features are available to you.

  • Account information, such as name, email address, username, authentication details, preferences, and time zone.
  • User content, such as tasks, deadlines, descriptions, chat messages, boss personality choices, proof uploads, images, captions, and feedback.
  • Usage information, such as app activity, feature interactions, timestamps, device information, log data, approximate location derived from IP address, and diagnostic data.
  • Payment information, if paid features are offered. Payment card details are generally handled by app stores or payment processors, not stored directly by Bossy.
  • Communications, such as support requests, survey responses, emails, and other messages you send to us.
  • Information from third-party sign-in, app stores, referral links, analytics providers, or other integrations when you choose to use them or where permitted by law.

3. Sensitive Information

Bossy does not require sensitive personal information. Please do not include sensitive information in your tasks, messages, uploads, or boss interactions unless you choose to do so and understand that it may be processed to provide the service.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to operate, maintain, secure, and improve Bossy.

  • Create and manage accounts.
  • Provide task management, reminders, chat, proof review, boss personalization, and other product features.
  • Generate AI responses and accountability prompts based on your tasks, messages, and settings.
  • Process payments, subscriptions, trials, refunds, and purchase records where applicable.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about product, policy, security, and account updates.
  • Analyze performance, debug issues, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Develop, test, and improve Bossy, including through aggregated or de-identified information where appropriate.

5. AI Processing

Bossy may send relevant task details, chat messages, uploaded proof, and account context to AI service providers so the app can generate boss responses, summaries, reminders, and feedback.

AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Do not submit information that you do not want processed by AI systems, and do not rely on Bossy for emergency or professional advice.

6. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances.

  • Service providers that support hosting, storage, databases, authentication, analytics, AI processing, customer support, email, security, payments, and app operations.
  • App stores and payment processors for purchases, subscriptions, refunds, fraud prevention, and billing support.
  • Professional advisors, authorities, courts, or other parties where needed to comply with law, enforce agreements, protect rights, investigate abuse, or prevent harm.
  • Business transaction parties if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, asset sale, or similar transaction.
  • Other people or services when you direct us to share information or use a feature that intentionally shares it.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website and related services may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to keep the service working, remember preferences, understand usage, improve performance, and protect against abuse.

Browser and device settings may let you limit some tracking technologies, but certain features may not work without them.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Bossy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information, account status, legal requirements, and business needs.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for using a strong password, protecting your devices, and keeping your login credentials confidential.

10. Children

Bossy is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to Bossy, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can contact us at hello@bossy.app to request help. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

12. United States State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or opt out of certain uses or disclosures of personal information.

Bossy does not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of selling it for money. If our practices are treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, we will provide required choices.

13. International Users

Bossy is operated from the United States. If you use Bossy from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate.

Where required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms for cross-border transfers.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

Bossy may link to third-party websites, app stores, payment providers, authentication providers, or other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

15. Do Not Track

Some browsers send Do Not Track signals. Because there is no uniform industry standard for responding to those signals, Bossy does not currently respond to them.
